I want to think that litecoins are very fairly distributed. I had 2 CPUs mining from the start. I stopped mining when GPUs came on the scene. Mine PACcoin PAC Or Ethereum.

You can probably figure out how many coins I mined. But I bought a lot more on BTC-e.

At one point, when the price was around $0.007, I considered plopping down $7000 to buy a million litecoins just to have a million. For some reason, I didn't. Oh boy do I regret that. Why did I not believe in my own creation?!?:) When the price hit 20 cents, I thought it was overpriced, so I sold about 3/4 of my coins trying to play the market and thinking I can get them back cheaper. I've since learned buy and hold is the best strategy. So, I'm holding on to the rest of my coins until I can spend them everywhere!

The L3+ miners are already being delivered to people that pre-ordered right now. By the time you get yours late July, you will be lucky to make 1 LTC a day. 1 LTC may be worth 80+ dollars so it maybe worth it to you. Still, by the time you buy the miner and the power supply you'll have around 1400 in your investment.

Once you factor out electricity cost and the total investment it may take a lot longer to make ROI. Make sure, if you buy the miner to buy the correct power supply if you order from BitMain. The smaller of the 2 they sell can only be used with 220 and not 110 which is what your typical home outlet uses. I bought a kit that comes with a HP server power supply, an adapter board and all the power cables in a kit that ran me around 75 dollars.

It plugs right up to a 110 outlet. Good Luck whichever decision you make. It's fun mining but know what you are getting into first. Use that mining calc that quakeduke posted and put in a 10% increase for difficulty where it says 'difficulty increment'. I mined with around 60 MH/s a few years ago with a lot of ASIC equipment (Zeusminer/Gawminer) and never saw ROI. It was a lot of fun but don't expect to 'get rich'.

I bought L3+ a few weeks ago but I realize that it's more for fun/hobby as you will never be able to keep up because of the mining farms/ difficulty increases. Do your research. If you had the miner 'in hand' today you would be in a lot better shape than when you actually get your L3+ in a few months.
