$8 is still a really good buy in. I guess 3 things. 1) during the christmas holidays last year I checked 'all' coins (What's the problem it solves?) under $0,25 and bought some I thought where promising. 2) I checked Bitcointalk (only people complaining about the ICO that they didn't received there tokens), Reddit (at that time ANS community was not active at all), Slack (not active as well, around 150 users) and - duh - Google.
