I am very new to cryptocurrency investing (as well as to cryptocurrencies in general), and I'm interested in investing in a few upcoming ICOs. At this point, I only have a small amount of BTC in a wallet I just created within the last few days, so I don't have any experience with currency trading (unless USD -->BTC counts). For those of who follow the latest ICOs, which ones do you think are the most promising?

How do you feel about aeternity and Bancor? Also, this is probably a dumb question, but when the ICO finally begins and coins can be purchased for the first time, where would they be purchased from? I'm assuming they're not offered on exchanges like Poloniex.? Thanks in advance.

I think BU are a bunch of maniacs. Letting miners vote to hand control of bitcoin to themselves. The scaling issue is real, and it's the hard-headedness of Core and BU (and its predecessors) that's lead us this far. I would love for Core to HF to 2MB and have segwit activated, that would effectively increas blocksize to 8MB.

However, miners want all transactions onchain to cash in in the fees. Biggest Komodo KMD Mining Pool. I guess they couldn't foresee the technical improvements ahead and are now couping to re-coupe their sunk (mining material) cost. I think BU will fail miserably.

Just a warning, please be aware that asking here is not sufficient research to confidently invest. Look into the projects yourself and if you don't understand then consider whether it's really sensible to send them funds. People advising particular ICO's may be linked with the project or biased in done other way. Use multiple sources and do as much of your own research as you can before sending funds anywhere.
